Activate Your IBAN Account Details

First, you need to activate your IBAN account details in the app. These are required to send a transfer to Europe:

  1. Open the app.

  2. Go to the Send tab.

  3. Tap on New Recipient and select Europe.

  4. Complete the verification process by providing a valid Proof of Residence.

Considerations

  • Cost

    • All SEPA transfers to an account in Europe have a fixed cost of 3 EUR, regardless of the amount.

  • Time

    • At ARQ, we send all euro transfers via SEPA Instant, so if the recipient's bank is part of the SEPA Instant Payment scheme, the money usually arrives in under 10 minutes, any day of the year - weekends and holidays included.

    • If the recipient's bank doesn't support SEPA Instant or doesn't respond in time, the transfer is automatically sent as a standard SEPA transfer, which takes 1 to 3 business days to arrive. Weekends and bank holidays don't count toward this time.

  • Sender name

    • Your transfers arrive showing your own name as the sender. If you're paying a platform that keeps a list of approved senders (brokers, exchanges, marketplaces), make sure your name is on their list — if you registered with them before September 2, 2026, they may have our account provider's name approved instead
