How to sell
Open the app and go to Save > Fixed Income.
Select the security you want to sell.
Tap Sell, enter the amount (full or partial), and confirm.
The money is credited to your earnings account in BRL, and your position is adjusted in your portfolio.
Once confirmed, a sale cannot be cancelled. It will follow the normal flow through to settlement.
How much will I receive?
The security's details screen shows your current position:
Gross value — what your investment is worth before taxes
Income tax and IOF — the amounts that will be deducted
Net value — what actually reaches your account
The net value is what you receive. Taxes are withheld automatically, so you don't need to do anything.
Securities with daily liquidity
These are sold in the primary market and are the simplest case: you request the sale, and it settles the same day at around 6 pm.
Sales can be requested on business days from 10 am to 2:30 pm, Brasília time.
Securities without daily liquidity
These are sold in the secondary market, which means asking the issuing institution to buy the security back. There are two steps: getting a quote, then settling it.
Getting the quote. Sales can be requested on business days from 10 am to 11 pm, Brasília time. If you request by 5 pm you'll receive the quote the same day; between 5 pm and 11 pm, the quote arrives the next day.
The quote depends on the institution. It is subject to the broker's approval, and the broker can decide not to buy the security back and cancel your request. A quote is never guaranteed.
Settlement. If the quote is approved by 4:30 pm, the sale settles the same day at around 6 pm. After 4:30 pm, it settles the next day at around 6 pm. The money only appears in your account, and your position is only adjusted, after settlement.

Sales made by 1 pm settle the same day at around 2 pm. After 1 pm, they settle the next day at around 2 pm.
