What fees apply to my trading account?

Understand the costs associated with investing in stocks & ETFs

A conversion fee applies when you trade

From 20 July 2026, a conversion fee applies when you buy or sell US stocks and ETFs on ARQ if you're on the Standard plan. The fee is 0.2% of the volume, with a minimum fee of 1 USDc per transaction. If you have a Brazilian account, this fee will only start applying on 15 September 2026.

Premium and Prestige members get unlimited free transactions, no conversion fee applies. The fee that applies is determined at the moment your order is executed, not when you place it. If you change your plan while an order is still pending, the fee will reflect your plan at the time the order is filled.

Examples:

  • Standard member buys $200 of a US stock: 0.2% would be 0.4 USDc, which is below the minimum, so fee is 1 USDc.

  • Standard member sells $2,000 of a US stock: 0.2% comes to 4 USDc, which is above the minimum, so fee is 4 USDc.

ARQ covers all regulatory fees

There are two standard regulatory fees applied when you sell a US security. But don't worry, ARQ covers 100% of these fees on your behalf.

  • SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission): $20.60 for every $1,000,000 sold

  • FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority): a Trading Activity Fee (TAF) of $0.000195 per share, with a minimum of $0.01 and maximum of $9.79

The conversion fee applicable when buying and selling stocks and ETFs is charged by Pier 5 S.A. de C.V. (RFC: DME210525LC7) in relation to the conversion between USDc and USD as part of a digital asset conversion operation. This activity does not constitute securities intermediation or financial instrument trading. Pier 5 S.A. de C.V. acts solely as a virtual asset service provider, in accordance with applicable regulation.
