How to move your investments from Hapi to ARQ

Move your US stocks and ETFs from Hapi without selling

A portfolio transfer lets you move your US stocks and ETFs from Hapi directly into your ARQ account, without needing to sell and repurchase. Your positions transfer as-is through the DTCC (the US central securities depository) via an ACATS transfer.

Key things to know before starting

  • The tax ID must match between your ARQ and Hapi account

  • Options and mutual funds can't be transferred

  • Stocks trading in OTC markets can't be transferred, only those trading in NYSE and NASDAQ

  • Hapi charges a US$75 fee to transfer your investments out

Where to find your Hapi account number

  1. Open the Hapi app and tap the menu (☰) in the top-left corner.

2. Tap "Reports".

3. Under the "Statements" tab, tap the most recent statement to download it.

4. Find your account number at the top of the statement, next to "ACCOUNT NUMBER." It starts with "2HP-".

How to start the transfer to ARQ

  1. Open your Trade account. Select the option to move your investment portfolio.

  2. Choose Hapi as your broker and enter the account number you found above.

  3. Submit. Transfers can take up to 5 business days and can't be cancelled once submitted.
