A portfolio transfer lets you move your US stocks and ETFs from Interactive Brokers directly into your ARQ account, without needing to sell and repurchase. Your positions transfer as-is through the DTCC (the US central securities depository) via an ACATS transfer.
Key things to know before starting
The tax ID must match between your ARQ and IBKR account
Options and mutual funds can't be transferred
Stocks trading in OTC markets can't be transferred, only those trading in NYSE and NASDAQ
Where to find your IBKR account number
Log into your Interactive Brokers account Log in to the Client Portal at interactivebrokers.com, or open the IBKR mobile app.
Find your account number Your account number (starts with a "U") is shown at the top of the Client Portal, and under your profile settings.
How to start the transfer to ARQ
Open your Trade account. Select the option to move your investment portfolio.
Choose IBKR as your broker and enter the account number you found above.
Submit. Transfers can take up to 5 business days and can't be cancelled once submitted.
