Send Colombian pesos (COP) via Bre-B

With ARQ, you can send Colombian Pesos (COP) to any bank account linked to a Bre-B key with no additional costs. Bre-B is Colombia's instant payment system, operated by Banco de la República, that settles transfers instantly, 24/7.

Note: Bre-B is available on app version 7.8 and above. Please update your app if you don't see this feature yet.

How to send Colombian pesos via Bre-B?

  1. Add new recipient:

    1. Once you are in the app, go to the Send tab.

    2. Tap on + New recipient, and then choose Colombia.

    3. On the How do you want to add the recipient? screen, choose Bre-B key.

    4. On Recipient details, enter the recipient's Bre-B key and tap Continue. ARQ will look up the key and show you the recipient's name so you can confirm it's the right person.

  2. Enter the amount:

    1. Input the exact amount you want to send. ARQ will show you the USDc you'll pay and the live exchange rate (e.g. 1 USDc = 5,095.30 COP).

    2. Minimum amount: 2,000 COP per transaction.

    3. Maximum amount: 11,552,000 COP per transaction.

  3. Confirm transfer:

    1. Review the details and confirm the transfer.

How long does the transfer take?

  • Bre-B transfers are instant. Funds typically arrive in the recipient's account within seconds, regardless of which bank they use.

Who can send via Bre-B?

To send via Bre-B you do not need a Bre-B key or any additional identity document verification.

What to do if you have issues with the transfer?

Why can't I add the recipient's Bre-B key?

This is typically because the key you entered isn't registered in the Bre-B system. Double-check it with the recipient and tap Edit recipient key to try again.

If the problem persists, contact our support via in-app chat.

Why is my transfer still pending?

Check back in a few minutes — most pending transfers settle within a few minutes.

If your transfer shows as Failed, the full amount is returned to your ARQ balance automatically — no action needed.

Important notes:

  • The recipient's bank may display SU ARQ FINANCE or PEXTO COLOMBIA as the sender name and Movii or PEXTO COLOMBIA as the sending bank. Some banks (for example, Davivienda) show no sender details, just a generic message such as "Transacción de otra entidad". All of this is normal.

  • Some bank accounts only accept me2me transfers and will reject payments from third parties. Because ARQ sends via SU ARQ FINANCE or PEXTO COLOMBIA, transfers to these accounts may get stuck and require manual recovery.

  • Bre-B transfers are immediate and final. Once a transfer is initiated, it cannot be cancelled. If you send to the wrong Bre-B key, you'll need to contact the recipient directly to request a return.
