Receive payments from the U.S. via FedNow

Learn how to receive instant payments from the U.S. through FedNow, 24/7, with no setup needed.

Your ARQ account is already set up to receive payments via FedNow. There's nothing you need to activate.

How FedNow works

FedNow is a real-time payment network run by the U.S. Federal Reserve. It settles payments in seconds, 24/7, including weekends and public holidays.

When a sender uses FedNow, your balance updates within seconds, instead of waiting hours or days for the payment to clear.

How to receive a FedNow payment

You don't need to configure anything. When someone sends money to your U.S. account, ask them to select FedNow as the payment method when prompted.

Once sent, the payment will appear in your ARQ account within seconds.

What if the sender doesn't see a FedNow option? Their bank may not yet be part of the FedNow network. The payment will still arrive via Wire or ACH instead. They can contact their bank to confirm FedNow availability.

What to keep in mind

  • Sender's bank must support FedNow. Availability depends on the sender's institution, not ARQ. Over 1,500 banks are already on the network. If their bank doesn't yet support FedNow, your payment will arrive via Wire or ACH as usual.

  • Sending via FedNow is not yet available. ARQ currently supports receiving payments via FedNow only. We'll let you know as soon as sending is live.
